I'm back from my trip! I have learnt alot, ate alot, shop alot, walked alot, carried alot and seen alot in just 4 days...
I'm so tired... I need my beauty sleep... We woke up at 7 everyday... Seemed more like a camp... But, it was fun going on a holiday with friends... This trip was my 1st free and easy tour with my friends...
It is so easy to get lost in a country that you haven't been to before... I'm horrible at reading maps... My sense of direction is horrible... and, whatever direction I chose to go, it seemed to be the direct opposite of where we are suppose to go... Luckily, i have zj and sh... haha... (wonder why i'm learning driving? I can predict i'll get lost every single time i drive...)
My legs are extremely tired... We walked alot... till my legs ached... The people in HK must be really skilled in walking long distances and up stairs and slopes... If there was ever an international walkathon, the HK ppl will win hands down... So many slopes, stairs, escalators and their mtr stations are huge!!!
Hmm... shall write down what we did each day... Otherwise, i think i'll forget...
1st day... Our plane was delayed by 30mins! by the time we reached our hotel, it was 4pm... So late... Hai...Half a day wasted...After putting our luggage at the small hotel, we went to eat wanton noodles and milk custard... Milk custard is quite a nice dessert... wonder if singapore has it... After that, we walked towards the harbour to watch the symphony of lights... The symphony of lights was nice because the buildings were lighted according to the music played... We could see a few fireworks... It was quite a nice experience... So many buildings... so many people... We also walked along the alley of stars... There were any handprints of famous actors and actresses... but, i didn't know many of them... After that, we walked around to shop... The things there are quite expensive... Especially the clothes....
2nd day... Woke up at 7...so early! anyway, we had dim sum for breakfast... quite yummy... and, 20 plus dollars for 8 ppl is quite cheap... After that, we took a bus to Ocean park... I'm not a big fan of the rollercoasters.. But, i love their aquariums!!! They have shark, fish and jellyfish aquariums... very nice!!!! and, it is air-conditioned... haha... i sound so spoilt... Well, it is summer in hk...so warm... the sun was so bright with the occassional drizzles... horrible weather... Singapore is much better... Well, we left ocean park at 6.... After that, the group split and zj and i went back to the hotel to put down our things first... then, we went for dinner and desserts around that area... the first time i had ginger soup with tan yuan... not bad... but, i still like the milk custard better...
3rd day... Woke up at 7 again! we went to a "traditional" tea house to eat our breakfast... I ate noodles... that day, my appetite was quite good... ate alot... wonder why...After that, travelled to hk island and went to the mid levels escalators to eat egg tarts... yummy! haha.. the crowd seemed to follow everywhere we went...Then, we ate lunch and we tried the roasted pigeon...to me, it looked like duck and tasted like a combination between duck and chicken... After eating, we walked around shopping and then went to the peak... The tram up the peak was so cool!!! it was moving 45 degrees upwards... so steep! Anyway, the scenary there was so nice! can't believe there are actually ppl living so high up in the mountain...rich people... After that, we went to Madam Tussuads Wax Museum... It was not too bad... but, i think it is smaller than the exhibition singapore had a few years back... After that, we went back to jordon to eat dinner and headed back to the hotel...
Last day... We woke up at around 9 and checked out at around 10... After that, zj and i went back to the bakery to buy egg tarts back to singapore... After that, we went back to the hotel to put down the egg tarts and went to mongkok to shop... Zj bought two pairs of shoes and a nice girly top... I bought a nice dress... haha...wonder if i'll wear it in singapore... oh well... I liked the last day becos we could walk around leisurely...
Overall, i bought more food than clothes... Quite glad about the things i bought for others... haha...travelling with friends is fun!
